Community Care Northumberland (CCN) is thrilled to announce that its first-ever Casino Royale fundraiser raised $39,886 bringing the community together for an unforgettable evening in support of vital local programs and services.
“Our first-ever Casino Royale fundraiser was an incredible night for Community Care Northumberland,” said Jordan Prosper, CEO of Community Care Northumberland. “We’re so grateful to our amazing event committee, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who joined us for making the evening such a fun and meaningful success. Thank you for coming together to support our community. We couldn’t have done it without you!”
All proceeds from Casino Royale will directly support CCN’s essential community programs, including Nutrition Services, Transportation, In-Home Services, Wraparound Support, Wellness Programs, and Hospice Services – ensuring individuals and families across Northumberland County continue to receive compassionate, reliable care.
On Thursday, February 12, 2026, the historic Capitol Theatre in Port Hope was transformed into a dazzling fun-money casino, complete with a Vegas-worthy stage show, photo booth, classic casino games, live magic, and elegant bites. Guests tried their luck at Blackjack, Roulette, Texas Hold ’Em, and Crown & Anchor while enjoying games of chance and high-energy entertainment – all in support of programs that make a meaningful difference for residents across Northumberland County.
The evening began with a show-stopping performance on the main stage, emceed by Sean Carthew, who seamlessly channelled both Elvis and James Bond. Mentalist Lukas Stark captivated the audience with mind-bending magic that left guests amazed, while Yury of Viva Cabaret closed the show in spectacular fashion with dazzling quick-change performances featuring icons such as Britney Spears, Celine Dion, and Tina Turner. During the show, two anonymous donations were announced, generously contributing a combined total of $12,500 toward the evening’s success. Following the performances, the casino floor officially opened, inviting guests to play, mingle, and celebrate for a great cause.
CCN extends its heartfelt thanks to the incredible sponsors who truly went All In to make Casino Royale possible. Special recognition goes to the Cameco Capitol Arts Centre for serving as Venue Sponsor and transforming the space into an extraordinary casino experience. Appreciation is also extended to The El P, Food Sponsor, for providing delicious bites throughout the evening. Sincere thanks as well to The Ryan Huffman Foundation, Full House Sponsor, and to Elaine and Mark Azzopardi, Cocktail Sponsor, for their generous support.
CCN also recognizes its High Roller Sponsors, Anne Butwell Real Estate and Ontario Power Generation’s Power for Change Project. Through OPG’s Empowerment Grant, grassroots initiatives in the communities where OPG operates continue to be strengthened, and together their generosity helped ensure Casino Royale was a true winning night for the community.
Because of the generosity of attendees, sponsors, donors, and dedicated volunteers, CCN can continue strengthening the well-being of our community – one program, one service, and one neighbour at a time.
