Provincialwide Stay-At-Home Order in Effect

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise at an alaraming rate, the Province has declared an emergency and Stay-At-Home order is in effect as of April 8, 2021 at 12:01 a.m.  This order has been introduced to preserve public health system capacity, safeguard vulnerable populations, allow for progress to be made with vaccinations and save lives as the Province combats the third wave of COVID-19.

KEEP YOURSELF INFORMED ON COVID-19

Please be advised that local health partners are working diligently to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all citizens within Northumberland County.

Each of us have a responsibility to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Wash your hands. Cover your mouth while sneezing. Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

If you have a fever and/or cough, have traveled to one of the affected countries in the past 14 days, or have had close or confirmed contact with a probable case, self-isolate at home, do not go to the Emergency Department. Community Care Northumberland Program Delivery Changes Due to Provincial Wide Lockdown

April 3rd, 2021

In response to the April 1st announcement from the provincial government on the provincewide lockdown beginning April 3rd, please see below restrictions and what is being offered by each program/service, as well as guidelines for in-office visiting. 

Transportation

  • To book a ride to your scheduled COVID-19 vaccine appointment please call 1-866-768-7778 to register
  • If you are interested in volunteering to drive members of our community to their COVID-19 vaccine appointments please call 705-653-4768 to express your interest
  • Essential medical/supply transportation will be completed by specialized transportation drivers

 Nutrition

  • Both our Hot Meals on Wheels program and our frozen meals are offered as usual.
  • Community diners are still suspended.

n-Home Services

  • Home help and maintenance will continue, following the same health and safety protocols already in place
  • Home at Last will still be limited to transportation home from the hospital

Wellness

  • No change: programs and services will continue to be offered virtually
  • Personal Distress Alarms – Battery replacements as required with current protocols

Hospice Services and Ed’s House

  • Visiting hospice services will happen virtually
  • At Ed’s House, visitors will be allowed 2 per resident.  For any and all questions regarding the COVID guidelines at Ed's House please call 1-855-473-8875.

In-Office Changes

  • Clients should connect with CCN staff by phone and/or email as much as possible. If a client must enter the office, he or she should first phone the local program office to arrange a time to come. Anyone entering a CCN office must sign in and wear a mask. If visitors feel ill, have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with a known case of COVID-19, they should delay their visit.
